Readiness Report: Condition 3
(Preparedness Alert)
This is the official KVRS Readiness Report. Before and during potential states of
emergency, check this message frequently for updates.
- Virginia Beach is currently under a Hurricane Warning.
- The Department of EMS has issued a Preparedness Alert, which is Condition 3 in the
Emergency Operations Plan. The highest state of readiness is known as Condition 1
- Members should plan to stand duty as scheduled. If you anticipate that you can't
make your duty, call EMS-5
at 635-7695.
- Extra personnel are requested for the before and during the possible
strike period.
- Personnel reporting to the station should bring provisions to sleep on the floor and to
stay up to 36 hours if necessary.
- Off-duty members should prepare their homes and businesses for the storm, and should get
ready to evacuate themselves and their families.
