101.01.01 The applicant shall maintain documents related to the official type of legal organization of the service, stating whether it is an individual proprietor-ship, partnership, corporation or subsidiary of any other corporation or unit of government. Applicant shall show written evidence of documents officially registering the entity with the Secretary of State or other designated official in each state in which the agency is chartered, incorporated or authorized to do business. | Current

ALS (CT-PM)" agency. KVRS keeps the license in its Business Office.
KVRS, per Section 2-4 of the Code of the City of Virginia Beach, is an integral part of the city's public safety program. The city does not license its volunteer rescue squads, per se. |

101.02
Organizational Structure A written organizational structure (chart) is
required to assure that the organization is managed effectively and
efficiently and so that lines of responsibility and authority can be
clearly delineated.

101.02.01 The applicant shall maintain a written organizational chart, updated no less than once per year, which clearly delineates responsibility, authority and chain of command within the organization. | Understanding

Management The organization must have one principal administrative officer
(i.e., president, chief, director or coordinator) who is responsible for
overall day-to-day operations of the service, including but not limited to
the development of mechanisms to implement policies.

101.03.01 The organization must have an organizational hierarchy which incorporates sufficient intermediate supervisory personnel to provide the administrative officer an effective span of control. The management and supervision team must demonstrate an overall unity of command with clearly demonstrable lines of authority and responsibility going both up and down the organizational chart so that every individual is answerable to only one superior, and through him/her, ultimately, answerable to the principal administrative officer. | Bylaws section 204 defines the squad's organizational hierarchy. 101.03.02 The organization must have written management policies, directives, protocols and procedures which refer to operations of the organization. 101.03.041 An annual budget that reflects overall expenditures for the organization. | |||||
101.03.042 An annual review of the financial status of the organization shall be conducted in a manner which takes into account all true costs (including shared or hidden costs) of operation. | |||||
101.03.043 The control of accounts receivable and payable, the handling of cash and the extension of credit. | |||||
101.03.05 The chief administrative officer, through the management and administrative staff, provides sufficient budgetary data for use in planning and evaluation. The data shall be sufficient to keep the persons responsible for planning and evaluation adequately and currently informed. | |||||
